Inheritance was forged in the magical liminality of grief and midlife. It explores the feelings and questions which arose when I realised that I had become the lone keeper of my inheritance, and that I should decide what I will pass on.When faced with the big questions I go to the sea; this work draws on the metaphors of the shore - an inherited place; of tides and change; of before and after; of single grains and the unity of the sand; Of looking out at a thousand glimmering mirrors chattering to the sun.
