The Scottish International Tuba Festival (SITF) is the UK’s only festival dedicated to the tuba, celebrating one of the most powerful yet underrepresented voices in classical and contemporary music.

Founded with a bold and inclusive vision, SITF brings together world-class performers, emerging talent, students, and music lovers for an extraordinary celebration of the tuba in all its forms.

Based in Scotland, SITF draws performers and audiences from across the UK and internationally. The festival held its inaugural launch in Edinburgh in 2024, followed by a second festival in Glasgow in 2025, and has been supported by a growing network of partners, supporters, and funders including Music For All, Buffet Crampon, The Wind Section, Edinburgh Music Centre, and Converge, alongside RCS Engage, CEDO, and an Athenaeum Award.

At the heart of the festival is a commitment to community. SITF has grown into a vibrant, intergenerational hub that connects professional musicians, amateur players, educators, and audiences across Scotland and beyond. Through masterclasses, workshops, performances, and outreach initiatives, the festival creates meaningful opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to engage with live music, many for the very first time.

SITF is proud to champion diversity, equity, and inclusion at every level of its work. Recognising the historic underrepresentation of women and marginalised groups within the lower brass sector, the festival provides equitable representation in its lineup, and uses its platform to advocate for lasting change within the brass and wider classical music community.
