Paul MacAlindin
Paul MacAlindin is a conductor and former musical director of the National Youth Orchestra of Iraq.
Paul MacAlindin has conducted orchestras and ensembles all over the world, from the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and Royal Scottish National Orchestra to the Armenian Philharmonic and the ensembles of the Düsseldorf Symphoniker, Psappha and Cantiere Montepulciano.
His most striking role to date has been as the Musical Director of the National Youth Orchestra of Iraq. He now leads The Glasgow Barons, a professional orchestra regenerating one of Glasgow’s most beloved areas, the shipyard of Govan.
