James Durrant , M.B.E, is one of Britain's most renowned exponents of the viola. On this CD Durrant plays an exciting, original and challanging programme. MacGuire's Prelude 6 is influenced by "rock 'n' roll" and brilliantly intergrates five Elvis Presley songs into the piece. Divertimento on the other hand is for 20 violas, and Durrant plays all 20 parts himself!
