Winners of the Danny Award at Celtic Connections in 1999, Malinky's debut album Last Leaves was runner-up in the Froots Album of the Year Poll of 2000.The most exciting development sees the wonderful Irish box and whistle player Leo McCann join the group, renowned for his inventiveness and energy both as a soloist and accompanist. The new five-piece Malinky maintain an acoustic approach to traditional and original songs and tunes. Malinky is one of the most distinctive sounds to emerge from the Scottish folk-scene over the last decade.
