Scottish Government recruiting for Creative Scotland Chair and Board

Recruitment is underway for the first Chair and Board members of Scotland’s new cultural development body, Creative Scotland. Creative Scotland will act as adviser, advocate, investor and broker across a spectrum of innovative and imaginative organisations, with artists and creativity firmly at its centre.
The Scottish Government is aiming to appoint a diverse group of individuals who have the skills and experience to govern the country’s new cultural development body. Together the new Chair and Board members will articulate, promote and develop Scotland’s arts and culture within the current environmental, social and economic context.
Demonstrating excellent presentation and advocacy skills, Creative Scotland’s first Chair will be a high-profile appointment with the ability to lead and drive forward transformational change. Board members will play a key role in acting as champions and advocates for Creative Scotland, delivering its new remit, as well as overseeing and supporting the work of the senior executive team.
The closing date for applications is Friday 26 March 2010.
