Economic concerns don’t stop the music lovers

Music festivals have been hailed as one of the few "recession-proof" industries, guaranteed to pull in the punters regardless of torrential rain or even stormier economic times.

As some 35,000 revellers descended on the banks of Loch Ness for the fourth annual RockNess festival and another 50,000 crowded on to the Isle of Wight for the "Bestival", many are hoping that it marks the start of a long hot summer of festivals. Paving the way for ‘headliners’ such as T in The Park and Glastonbury.
