Music filled the air around Aviemore this month, despite the earlier cancellation of a huge music festival.

The Onsider festival was organised by a local business group after the cancellation of the Outsider Festival which was due to take place on the Rothiemurchus Estate at the weekend.

Aviemore Business Association discovered a large number of revellers were still coming to the area despite the cancellation and decided to put on some entertainment for the crowds.
A spokesman for the association said: “Several accommodation providers noticed that people were still booked in for this weekend despite the festival being cancelled. So we thought that rather than let them down we would put something on for them.”

Last month organisers of the Outsider Festival blamed the recession and poor ticket sales on its cancellation. The event also coincided with the previosuly mentioned Insider Festival
