Traditional music in spotlight

Some of the country’s best-known traditional musicians played a series of dates in the north and north-east this month as part of a new initiative by the Scottish Arts Coucil.
Along with Session A9, audiences got the chance to hear Charlie McKerron, David “Chimp” Robertson, Brian McAlpine, Marc Clement, Kevin Henderson, Adam Sutherland and Gordon Gunn; with venues ranging from village halls and community centres to Carnegie Hall.
