Wed 5 Jun 2013 7:30 pm Gordon Bragg, Red Note Ensemble Sloans Bar, 62 Argyll Arcade, 108 Argyle Street, Glasgow, G2 8BG - £8 (£6) 0141 332 5057 / www.rcs.ac.uk [b]Red Note Ensemble[/b] perform a special year end concert of first performances from the Composition Department at the [b]Royal Conservatoire of Scotland[/b]. Taking place in the intimate environment of [b]Sloans[/b] in Glasgow's city centre on [b]Wednesday 5th June[/b] at [b]19:30[/b], the bar has grown a reputation as an exciting venue to hear fresh new music. This concert will be the second outing for [b]Thom Butler[/b], [b]Sound & Music's[/b] [i]Embedded Composer in Residence[/i] at [b]Red Note[/b]. After starting his 18 month residency in April, Thom plans to use composition, performance and field recording techniques to explore the psychogeography of Glasgow. The final distributed multimedia work will engage with the urban landscape of Glasgow and its affect on the people of Glasgow and will be performed in and around the city in summer 2014.
