Born 4 Wesley Terrace, Onchan, Douglas, IOM 17/7/1926. Domicile, Scotland 76 years. Retired school music teacher; self-taught composer. Studied piano at R.S.A.M. Glasgow, under Mr. Charles Estcourt, L.R.A.M., A.K.C.M. : Harmony and Counterpoint under Mr. R. Barrett-Watson, B. Mus. Left R.S.A.M. 1952, with L.T.C.L. (teacher) diploma. Gained Secondary school teacher's Certificate Jordanhill College, Glasgow, using the name 'Robert S. Owen' at both establishments.
