Martin Dalby's contribution was the setting of Cod Opera, a fantasy sequence, which lasts about three minutes Ñ words, of course by William McIlvanney. Scored for three opera singers (soprano, tenor and baritone), flute, 2 horns, 2 violins, viola, cello and doublebass. The music has the stylised character of bad Mozart or bad music of that period. It was recorded first (in London) and the scene filmed to playback.
