Sarah Beth Briggs is a leading recitalist, concert soloist and chamber musician. A long standing pupil of the late Dennis Matthews, her professional career was launched at the age of 11 when she became the youngest ever (at that time) finalist in the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition. Four years later she gained international recognition as joint winner of the International Mozart Competition in Salzburg. She is a much sought after teacher and, in addition to her chamber music coaching and tuition at York University, has given masterclasses throughout the UK and the USA. Janet Hilton is recognised as one of the leading clarinettists in the UK. She has performed with some of Britain's leading orchestras and has also become renowned for her superb chamber music interpretations, performing with prestigious string quartets such as the Lindsays, the Endellion and the Camerata Wind Soloists. Laurence Perkins is one of Britain's foremost bassoon players. He has performed and recorded much of the bassoon's solo repertoire and has given recitals at the Wigmore Hall and Purcell Room, as well as performing with leading orchestras and with conductors such as Sir Charles Groves.
