From a dialogue of musical intervals and phrases, a new reel dance is fashioned and eventually 'launched' by the cellos. Clyde built was composed within earshot of ongoing shipbuilding on the River Clyde in Glasgow and honours that long tradition. It is dedicated to the last remaining independent shipbuilder there, Ferguson's.
