Mei-Ann Chen is one of America's most exciting young conductors. Here she makes her BBC SSO debut in a concert with ends with Mendelssohn's 'Reformation' Symphony. She is joined by Veronika Eberle for a performance of Prokofiev's lyrical First Violin Concerto, composed between 1916 and 1917, and the concert opens with a short started from Scottish composer, the late Edward Harper.
