John McLeod

Born Aberdeen. Studied under Lennox Berkeley at the Royal Academy of Music. His brilliantly coloured vocal, instrumental and orchestral music has been commissioned, broadcast, recorded and performed throughout the world by leading soloists and orchestras and he has been featured at many festivals including Edinburgh and the London Proms. He has also written widely for film and television. Winner of numerous prizes including the Guinness Prize in 1979, his music is now readily available on leading CD labels.
