Kevin Mayo b. 1964

Born Stirling, Scotland. He studied music at Edinburgh University gaining BMus. (Hons) and MMus in composition. He studied composition with Kenneth Leighton and Peter Nelson. He subsequently completed his studies at the Royal College of Music in London, spending a further year studying composition with George Benjamin and improvisation with John Lambert. His music has been performed in Sweden, the Netherlands, and throughout the British Isles by groups such as the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the Chamber Group of Scotland and has been broadcast on British and Dutch radio.
