This five-day summer school offers young people the opportunity to find out more about the demands and rigors of the musical theatre industry.
Through practical, participatory work participants will experience the type of teaching on musical theatre degree programmes and discover what kind of preparation is required for applying to them. Classes will include acting through song, dance and singing and basic choreography.
Participants will also be guided through the process of preparing for auditions and interviews, and receive tips on how to give your best on the big day.
By the end of the course participants will have:
- Discovered what is involved in full time musical theatre training
- Gained an insight into what is required for a career in the musical theatre industry
- Received support and advice for audition preparation
- Met like-minded people interested in pursuing a training and career in musical theatre
This summer school aims to create an inspiring, challenging and supportive environment for young people to explore what they would like to do when leaving school.
