EMS Creative Exchange
Applications are now open for the next Creative Exchange hosted by Enterprise Music Scotland, the National body for chamber music. Creative Exchange is a 4-day residency at Hospitalfield House in Arbroath, providing Scottish based chamber music ensembles* with the opportunity to create, plan, rehearse and research, whilst accessing central support from EMS. As well as excellent rehearsal spaces, participating ensembles will be provided with accommodation and meals.
The aims of Creative Exchange are:
• to provide creative space
• to encourage conversation and collaboration
• to support musicians and other creatives in their projects, ideas and development
*If you are planning to spend your time at Creative Exchange to create new work with a Scottish-based composer or artist from another art form, it is possible for them to also attend in a joint application. Please mark ‘composer/artist etc’ under ‘instrument’.
Participants may also be asked to give a short informal performance/workshop at Hospitalfield for the local community e.g. school children or care home residents, during their time on the Creative Exchange.
At this stage, we ask you to formally express your interest by answering a few questions which will help EMS to ascertain which ensembles will benefit most from participation.

We also ask that you attach a summary of your work to date as an ensemble, this may take the form of a short bio or CV and links to audio/video.
