Head of Orchestral Studies at the RSAMD. Founder of Paragon Ensemble
and Artistic Director 1980-2000. Has conducted BBCSSO, RSNO, SCO, Ulster Orchestra and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and in France, Germany, Iceland, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Commissioned and recorded many works (symphonic, concertos, opera, music-theatre, film music) and received PRS award for his services to music in Scotland.
