Comes from a musical Scottish-Italian family. Studied RSAMD winning major conducting prize. First conducted professionally with the RSNO. Regular conductor with Northern Sinfonia. Has worked with leading soloists including Lesley Garrett, John Wallace and Marilyn Hill Smith. Artistic Director of Sunderland Empire Proms. Recent engagements include working with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Halle Orchestra and The English Northern Philharmonic.
