National Youth Orchestras of Scotland

BTA (Bruce Tait Associates) are delighted to be working with National Youth Orchestras of Scotland in their search for a Development Manager.
Firm in its belief that ‘music transforms lives’, NYOS is proud to be in its 40th year of making music accessible to young people.
Each year, over 600 students aged between 8 and 25, take part in the comprehensive musical experiences provided by the NYOS orchestras, jazz bands, training ensembles and outreach programme. These experiences transform the lives of some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable young people in our society.
To capitalise on its birthday celebrations, NYOS is looking for a Development Manager to progress Major Donor fundraising for the charity. You may be an experienced fundraiser looking to specialise in this area of fundraising, or you may come from a commercial or public sector background with relevant skills and experience. In this new role, you will work to the organisation’s Major Donor strategy, written by BTA.
You will have excellent stewardship and communications skills as well as great organisational skills and the ability to set-up processes and procedures for this area of fundraising. You’ll be passionate about the arts and education and preferably have some knowledge and understanding of classical music.
